FAQ

Quick answers to the questions we hear most. For anything not covered, see Troubleshooting.

THE PRODUCT

Is this a real product or just a demo?

Sedona on testnet is real software with real features, but the tokens have no value, and the card is a preview. Mainnet (real money, real card) launches after the testnet milestones are met.

Do I need to know anything about crypto to use it?

No. Sign in with email or Google, and Sedona handles the wallet for you. You'll need to get testnet tokens from the faucet, but the app walks you through it.

What does it cost?

Network fees. Each transaction pays a small gas fee in SIZE, Seismic's native gas token (free from the faucet). On mainnet, fees will be a fraction of a cent for swaps.

Swap fees. A small percentage built into the trade rate, like every DEX. This is what funds auto-earn yield.

No subscription, no platform fee.

Where does auto-earn yield come from?

Trading fees from Sedona's pools, distributed to liquidity providers. Auto-earn is just a way to be an LP without thinking about it. There's no token emission, no subsidy.

PRIVACY & SAFETY

Is my data safe?

Your trading activity is private from the network. Your account (if you sign in with email) is managed by Privy, an embedded-wallet provider. They hold a recovery key but cannot see your balances or trades.

If you connect your own wallet (MetaMask, Rabby), no third party has any custody at all.

Can I export my wallet?

Yes. If you signed in with email or social, go to Settings › Wallet › Export private key. Once you have it, you can import that key into MetaMask or any wallet you control.

What if Sedona shuts down?

Your funds live on Seismic, not on Sedona's servers. If Sedona disappeared tomorrow, you'd still have access to your tokens through any Seismic-compatible wallet. Sedona is a frontend, not a custodian.

UNDER THE HOOD

Why Seismic and not Ethereum?

Seismic is built specifically to make computation private at the protocol level. On Ethereum, every detail of every trade is public. Sedona could not exist on Ethereum the way it exists here without expensive workarounds.

What chains does Sedona support?

Right now: Seismic testnet (chain ID 5124). Mainnet support arrives at launch.

Can I provide liquidity manually instead of using auto-earn?

Not on day one. Direct LP management may come later. For now, auto-earn is the supported way.

Is there a Sedona token?

No Sedona token at testnet. No governance token planned at launch. If that ever changes, we'll be very transparent about it.
